Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Homer, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and young children up to five years old. Our mission is to enhance nutritional well-being by providing access to nutritious supplemental foods essential for growth and development. We offer comprehensive nutrition education that encourages healthier dietary choices, along with valuable support for breastfeeding mothers. In addition, we connect families with necessary health services, ensuring a holistic approach to well-being. To receive WIC assistance, we invite participants to bring everyone applying to the clinic on their appointment date, reinforcing our commitment to community engagement and support.
