The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Haughton, LA, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, our Fellows receive organic food system education without tuition fees, promoting accessibility and inclusivity. This transformative program allows participants to engage in fostering diversified crop production on market-style farms, create community and school gardens, and implement innovative health care educational sessions. Fellows also develop essential skills in food and ecological literacy, support farmers markets, and work alongside regional non-profits during their Community Action Year to enhance access to healthy food. With an application deadline of March each year and an immersive experience from May to October, we empower individuals to make lasting impacts in their communities.
