Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

Located in Hammond, LA, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. We prioritize the well-being of our community by offering supplemental foods that are rich in essential nutrients necessary for a child's growth and development. Our mission extends beyond providing food assistance; we also deliver nutrition education aimed at fostering healthier dietary habits, support for breastfeeding, and valuable referrals to additional health services, ensuring that families receive comprehensive care and encouragement on their path to better health.
