Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Gretna, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our program offers nutrient-rich supplemental foods essential for growth and development, along with nutrition education aimed at enhancing diet and health practices. We provide information, support, and encouragement for breastfeeding, while also connecting families with other vital health services. If you are already enrolled in Louisiana Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, LA CHIP, or LA MOMS, you likely meet the income requirements to qualify for WIC. Caregivers of children aged five and under are also encouraged to participate.
