Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Gretna, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide vital support through a variety of services, including nutrient-rich supplemental foods essential for growth, nutrition education to enhance dietary practices and health habits, guidance and encouragement for breastfeeding, and referrals to additional health services. Families enrolled in programs such as Louisiana Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, LA CHIP, or LA MOMS automatically qualify based on income guidelines.
