Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Franklinton, LA, is dedicated to supporting low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children up to age five, by promoting healthy food choices and nutrition. Our mission is to provide essential supplemental foods rich in nutrients that are vital for early growth and development, along with comprehensive nutrition education aimed at fostering better dietary and health practices. We offer valuable information and support for breastfeeding as well as referrals to additional health services, ensuring that families in our community have the resources they need for a healthier future.
