The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Franklinton, LA, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Through a comprehensive training program, we empower Fellows to become advocates and educators for a food landscape that prioritizes social equity, environmental stewardship, and economic viability. Our Fellowship provides essential organic food system education without any tuition fees to ensure broad accessibility. During their six-month immersive experience at our beautiful farm, Fellows engage in hands-on opportunities such as growing diversified crops, facilitating health education sessions, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food literacy in schools. Following their training, they enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to extend their impact on the community by enhancing access to healthy foods and supporting initiatives like farmers markets. Applications are welcome until March, with the program running from May to October, as we work together to reshape the future of food in our region.
