Food for Families / Food for Seniors

In Franklin, LA, Food for Families / Food for Seniors, a program of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, is dedicated to supporting eligible seniors through vital food assistance and nutrition education. Each month, we provide well-balanced nutritional food boxes designed to promote healthy eating, which include essentials such as canned meats, fruits, vegetables, breakfast cereals, and shelf-stable dairy options. Alongside the food, we empower our senior community with nutritional knowledge, teaching how to create simple, healthy meals and manage food budgets effectively. Our mission is to combat food insecurity among seniors while ensuring they have the resources and information needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
