Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC)

The Louisiana Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program in Duson is dedicated to fostering the health and nutrition of pregnant women, new mothers, and young children. We provide essential services such as nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and access to nutritious foods, all tailored to the needs of low-income families. Our goal is to empower families through valuable nutrition guidance, helping them build healthy habits for their children’s growth and development. As a part of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program, we offer supplemental foods rich in vital nutrients and facilitate referrals to additional health services. To access our services, individuals must schedule an appointment at their chosen WIC clinic, where staff will assist in determining eligibility and guide them through the process.
