MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Donaldsonville, LA, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through effective weight management and health promotion initiatives. Our mission is to screen every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity, providing tailored referrals to various weight management services that cater to individual preferences and needs. We offer a diverse range of support options, including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE! which facilitates in-home messaging and clinician contact. For those who prefer to take charge of their weight journey independently, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available, while we also provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans facing ongoing challenges with overweight or weight-related issues. Each facility may offer different services, so we encourage you to connect with your local MOVE! Coordinator or VA provider to get started on your path to better health.
