Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Denham Springs, LA, is dedicated to empowering individuals to become advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through hands-on training and education, this fellowship fosters the growth of knowledge in organic farming and community engagement. Participants engage in diverse projects such as growing and distributing crops, supporting local farmers’ markets, and developing distribution channels that enhance access to healthy foods. With no tuition fees, the program emphasizes accessibility for all aspiring change-makers. Selected Fellows immerse themselves in a transformative six-month experiential learning journey at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in collaboration with local non-profits. Applications are accepted until March each year, with experiences taking place from May to October.
