Selma Schimmel Vital Grant is dedicated to providing vital support to individuals in Covington, LA, grappling with financial hardships stemming from chronic, terminal, or rare illnesses, including cancer, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s Disease. Our program offers essential utility assistance and grocery support to help alleviate the financial burden during difficult times. While the grant covers either utility bills or grocery expenses to ensure focused assistance, we also collaborate with other organizations to connect recipients with additional resources and support. Our mission is to empower those in need, providing a lifeline of care and compassion in challenging moments.
