Food for Families / Food for Seniors, a program of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans located in Covington, LA, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to seniors in need. Each month, we distribute nutritious food boxes filled with carefully selected items such as canned meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products, ensuring that our participants receive balanced meals. We understand the importance of education in promoting healthy lifestyles, which is why we also offer nutritional guidance, including easy recipes and advice on how to manage food budgets effectively. Our commitment is to empower seniors through access to emergency food resources and vital knowledge for maintaining a healthy diet, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry. To enroll in our program, seniors can complete the Preliminary Certification application available for download online.
