The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Covington, LA, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators committed to creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education without tuition fees to ensure accessibility for all applicants. Selected Fellows engage in a transformative six-month, hands-on experience at our farm campus, where they learn to grow and distribute diverse crops while implementing educational initiatives in healthcare and community settings. They will also have the opportunity to maintain school gardens, promote food and ecological literacy, support farmers markets, and contribute to food accessibility through innovative distribution channels. Following their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, working alongside regional non-profits to make a lasting impact in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
