The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Church Point, LA, is dedicated to fostering advocates and educators who champion a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. By providing a no-cost training program, we ensure that aspiring Fellows can access organic food system education without financial barriers. Over the six-month immersive experience at our campus, participants will engage in hands-on learning, focusing on diversified crop production and community-driven initiatives. Fellows will not only acquire skills to maintain school and community gardens and support local farmers markets, but they will also implement educational sessions on food and ecological literacy. After their residency, they will enter a Community Action Year, where they can apply their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations, further strengthening food security in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program typically running from May through October, and we warmly invite those passionate about transformative food systems to join us in making a meaningful impact.
