Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Chalmette, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy eating practices among low-income pregnant and postpartum women, as well as infants and children under five years of age. Our program offers essential, nutrient-rich supplemental foods to support growth and development, alongside valuable nutrition education that promotes improved dietary habits and overall health. We also provide guidance and encouragement for breastfeeding and connect families to additional health services. If you're enrolled in Louisiana Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, LA CHIP, or LA MOMS, you likely qualify for WIC services. Caregivers of young children are welcome to apply as well.
