Women, Infants, & Children Program

The Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) Program in Chalmette, LA, is dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and young children under five years old. Our mission is to provide vital food assistance and essential nutrition education, ensuring that families have access to nutritious foods such as infant formula, low-sugar cereals, milk, cheese, juice, eggs, and more. Alongside nutritious food options, we promote breastfeeding and offer support for nursing mothers, while also connecting families to additional health and social services. At WIC, we strive to empower our community with the resources necessary for a healthy start in life.
