The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Carencro, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide essential food assistance through nutrient-rich supplemental foods that support the growth and development of our youngest community members. Additionally, WIC offers vital nutrition education aimed at enhancing dietary choices and health practices, alongside comprehensive support and resources for breastfeeding mothers. We also provide referrals to other essential health services, ensuring that families receive the comprehensive care they need to thrive.
