Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Carencro, LA, fosters a new generation of advocates committed to creating a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic sustainability. Through hands-on training and immersive experiences at the Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows engage in organic food system education, working alongside local partners to cultivate diverse crops, implement innovative health care education, and maintain community gardens. Our mission is to empower fellows to spread food and ecological literacy, support farmers markets, and enhance access to healthy foods while participating in meaningful community initiatives. The program is designed to be accessible, with no tuition fees, and includes a six-month experiential study, followed by a Community Action Year, where participants apply their learning in collaboration with regional non-profits. Interested individuals should apply by March for the opportunity to launch their journey from May to October.
