Family Support

Based in Bossier City, LA, the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (PWSA) is dedicated to providing essential support to individuals affected by Prader-Willi syndrome, alongside their families and caregivers. Our Family Support program plays a critical role in guiding families through the challenges of diagnosis and treatment by offering accurate information, nutritional education, tailored meal planning, and behavior management assistance. We also help navigate the complexities of applying for Medicaid, insurance, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). At PWSA, we believe no one should face this journey alone, and we invite families to connect with us through our local chapter to access the resources they need, including parent mentoring and online support groups.
