Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bogalusa, LA, is dedicated to empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that is just, sustainable, and accessible. Through immersive training and hands-on experience, our Fellows learn the principles of organic food production and community engagement, all tuition-free to ensure inclusivity. Participants engage in various initiatives, including growing diverse crops, leading health education sessions, maintaining gardens, and promoting food literacy in schools. The fellowship culminates in a six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where Fellows collaborate with local non-profits to implement their knowledge. By fostering connections and supporting local food coalitions, we help increase access to healthy foods and advocate for a thriving, equitable food system in our region.
