Food for Families and Food for Seniors, part of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to seniors in Benton, LA. Each month, we distribute nutritional food boxes that not only include vital staples like canned meats, vegetables, fruits, cereal, cheese, and milk, but also support seniors with valuable nutrition education. Our program teaches how to prepare healthy, cost-effective meals using available commodities, empowering participants to make informed dietary choices. We believe in fostering not only sustenance but also knowledge, ensuring that every senior has access to the resources needed for a balanced diet.
