Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Benton, LA US
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Benton, LA, we are dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers passionate individuals through a comprehensive, six-month experiential learning opportunity at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where Fellows receive hands-on training in organic food systems. This fellowship fosters social, environmental, and economic justice by equipping participants to become advocates and educators within their communities. Throughout the program, Fellows will engage in a variety of impactful activities, including growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health education sessions, maintaining school and community gardens, and promoting food literacy in educational settings. With no tuition fees, we focus on accessibility, allowing participants to support farmers markets, enhance direct-to-consumer programs, and collaborate with local non-profits during their Community Action Year. We invite those interested to apply by March for a transformative experience that runs from May to October, where they will not only learn but also inspire others in their journey toward improved access to healthy foods.
