Food for Families / Food for Seniors

In Belle Chasse, LA, Food for Families / Food for Seniors, a program of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of eligible seniors through vital food assistance and nutrition education. Each month, we provide nutritious food boxes filled with essential items, including canned meats, vegetables, fruits, breakfast cereals, American cheese, and shelf-stable milk, ensuring that seniors have access to healthy meals. We also empower our participants with educational resources about proper nutrition, budgeting for food, and easy-to-make recipes that promote a balanced diet. By supporting our seniors, we aim to improve their quality of life and help them navigate food insecurity with dignity and care.
