Tarkisha Wallace earned her Master of Arts in Student Personnel Services Counseling at Northwestern State University of Louisiana in spring 2008, following her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Speech in spring 2005. In March 2011, she achieved her licensure and has since dedicated over ten years to the mental health and counseling field. Her extensive experience includes roles in a therapeutic girls' residential facility, a mental health rehabilitation agency, an alternative school for juvenile offenders, and a college counseling program, where she has served as a Direct Child Care Attendant, Counselor, Assessor, and Clinical Director. Tarkisha's passion for helping others was solidified during her own personal crisis, where she first recognized the transformative power of counseling. She specializes in individual and family counseling, behavior modification intervention planning, crisis intervention, and provisional LPC supervision. Tarkisha understands that many individuals struggle with the lack of love, support, and guidance, feeling disconnected and lost. She believes that there is so much more to life for those willing to pursue it. With her support, she encourages everyone to embrace their potential to SOAR, reminding them that everyone has the ability to rise, even if they require some additional assistance to do so.
