Dr. Mark Crosby has dedicated his life to guiding individuals and families through life's complexities since beginning his career as a Pastoral Counselor in 1989. With a wealth of experience spanning church and hospital settings, Dr. Crosby embarked on his internship in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1993 at Mercy-Baptist Medical Center in New Orleans, mentored by noted experts like Dr. Myron Madden and Dr. Doug Ezell. He possesses a PhD in Family Psychology and an MS in Clinical Counseling, and actively contributes to the fields of psychology and therapy as a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and the American Psychological Association. Dr. Crosby's academic achievements include a Master's degree from NOBTS specializing in Adolescent Ministry/Counseling, an MS in Law, and he has taught courses on Child Psychology and Family Law Mediation at the college level. In addition to supervising graduate students from Southeastern Louisiana University, he is a Child Custody Evaluator for the 21st Judicial District Court and serves as a Divorce Mediator, affiliated with the Family Mediation Council. As a Parenting Coordinator for the 19th and 21st District Courts, he provides essential support to families in need. Dr. Crosby's therapeutic approach, rooted in Reality Therapy and Choice Theory, emphasizes collaboration and empowerment. He is eager to assist families and couples navigating challenging dynamics, ensuring a compassionate and effective therapeutic experience.
