Diabetes Education Program

In Baton Rouge, LA, the Health & Wellness Center's Diabetes Education Program empowers individuals living with diabetes or at high risk for type 2 diabetes through comprehensive education and skill-building. Accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators, this program focuses on improving health outcomes by providing personalized support from our registered dietitian and nurse. Participants undergo a thorough assessment to identify their unique needs and develop essential management skills tailored to their condition. Each individual receives a custom education plan designed to guide them through effective self-management interventions and establish ongoing support strategies. Admission to the program requires a physician referral, and we are pleased to inform clients that most insurance plans cover diabetes education and nutrition therapy when eligibility criteria are met.
