Diabetes & Nutrition Center

Located in Baker, LA, Our Lady of the Lake's Diabetes & Nutrition Center specializes in comprehensive treatment for both adult and pediatric diabetes and nutrition disorders. Our dedicated team of certified diabetes educators, registered nurses, and registered dietitians offer tailored support through our Diabetes Self-Management Training Program (DSMT), designed for all types of diabetes, including Type 1, Type 2, secondary, and gestational. With a physician referral, clients receive personalized assessments, educational plans, and insulin pump training when needed. In addition, our Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) provides individual consultations to address nutrition-related concerns such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, kidney disease, and weight management. We foster a supportive environment through our free monthly Diabetes Education and Awareness Group, where individuals living with diabetes and their families can come together to share experiences and gain valuable insights from our educators.
