Women, Infants and Children (WIC) in Amite, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of families by providing essential services including nutrient-rich supplemental foods, comprehensive nutrition education to cultivate better eating habits, support and resources for breastfeeding, and referrals to additional health services. We believe that every child deserves a strong start, and we are here to empower families with the tools and knowledge they need for a healthy future.
