Cajun Area Agency on Aging Inc. in Abbeville, LA, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors across eight parishes, including Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion. Our mission is to provide essential services that promote the well-being and independence of older adults. Our programs include homemaker assistance for light housekeeping, in-home respite services for caregivers, and legal assistance for those needing support. We also advocate for residents in long-term care facilities through our ombudsman service, facilitating social interaction with recreational activities, and providing transportation to essential appointments and senior centers. Regular wellness checks via phone and home visits help us maintain connections and provide companionship.
