Food for Families and Food for Seniors, a program of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans in Abbeville, LA, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to seniors in need. Each month, we deliver nutritional food boxes packed with a variety of wholesome items including canned meats, fruits, vegetables, cereals, and dairy products, tailored to support a healthy lifestyle. Alongside these monthly deliveries, we empower seniors with valuable nutrition education, offering practical guidance on meal preparation, food budgeting, and healthy eating habits that help stretch their food dollars. Our mission is rooted in compassion and service, ensuring that every senior has access to nutritious food and knowledge to maintain their well-being. To enroll and take advantage of our services, simply complete and submit the Preliminary Certification application form available through our organization.
