Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Abbeville, LA, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers comprehensive education on organic food systems and fosters practical initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health care education, and nurturing community gardens. Fellows engage in enriching experiences at our location, where they work alongside local partners to enhance food access, participate in farmers markets, and teach food and ecological literacy in schools. The Fellowship is designed to be accessible, with no tuition fees, encouraging a diverse range of participants. After a hands-on six-month residency at our farm, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional nonprofit organizations to apply their valuable training and insights. We invite individuals passionate about sustainable food practices to apply by March for the experience that runs from May to October.
