Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity in Wichita, KS, and throughout Kansas by providing complimentary USDA commodity foods to low-income households. With shipments delivered five to six times a year to local organizations, TEFAP ensures that families receive essential nutrition through a diverse selection of canned vegetables, fruit, juice, meat, cereal, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta. Each household can receive between four and ten food items per delivery, making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. Clients can easily access support by applying in their home county, reinforcing our commitment to meeting the urgent food assistance needs of the community.
