Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Valley Center, KS, is dedicated to alleviating hunger by providing free USDA commodity foods to low-income households across the state. With shipments occurring five to six times a year, we work closely with participating organizations to ensure that essential food items, such as canned vegetables, fruit, meat, cereal, and more, are delivered to those in need. Each distribution not only meets basic nutritional needs but also includes a variety of products to support balanced diets. Families can receive between four to ten different food items per shipment, and individuals are encouraged to apply through their home county for assistance.
