Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is dedicated to providing vital support to low-income households in Valley Center, KS, by delivering free USDA commodity foods aimed at meeting essential nutritional needs. With shipments made five to six times a year to partnering organizations, TEFAP ensures that families receive a carefully curated selection of up to 10 nutritious food items, which may include canned vegetables, fruits, juices, meats, cereals, and nonfat dry milk. Our mission is to alleviate food insecurity and empower families through accessible food assistance. To benefit from this program, individuals are encouraged to apply in their home county and take an important step towards securing healthy nourishment for their households.
