Wendy Loehr is a highly respected therapist with over 20 years of experience in mental health. A proud graduate of Grinnell College and the KU School of Social Welfare, she has cultivated a wealth of knowledge through her work in both rural and metropolitan communities. Wendy has significant experience engaging with individuals facing chronic mental illness, eating disorders, addiction, trauma, as well as anxiety and depressive disorders. Her past role at Menninger involved treating clients who had experienced workplace violence and airline accidents. Following this, she dedicated five years to the Quincy Medical Group in Illinois as a behavioral health consultant and clinician, supporting people of all ages with a range of mental health issues. Since returning to Topeka in 2003, Wendy worked on the Senior Diagnostic Unit at Stormont-Vail, and she has also provided outpatient therapy to individuals and families. Since launching her private practice in June 2014, she has had the privilege of working with clients from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. With a foundation in Bowen Family Systems and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), her practice also incorporates the Strengths Perspective and Solution-Focused approaches, which infuse her treatment methods with a holistic and person-centered focus.
