Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Saint Marys, KS, is dedicated to alleviating hunger by providing free USDA commodity foods to low-income households across Kansas. Understanding the urgent need for food assistance, TEFAP delivers essential nutritional support five to six times each year to partner organizations for local distribution. Our nutritious offerings include canned vegetables, fruits, juice, meats, cereals, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta, ensuring that families receive a variety of healthy options. Each participating household can benefit from a shipment containing a minimum of four and up to ten different food items. We invite individuals and families in need to apply through their home county, helping us continue our mission of meeting basic nutritional needs in our community.
