Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Pratt, KS, is dedicated to alleviating hunger by providing essential food assistance to low-income households across the state. Through our partnership with the Kansas Department for Children and Families, we distribute free USDA commodity foods, including a variety of nutritious options like canned vegetables, fruit, juice, meat, cereal, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta. Food shipments occur five to six times a year, ensuring that families receive a minimum of four to ten different food items each time to help meet their basic nutritional needs. We invite eligible residents to apply through their home county to access this vital support in combating food insecurity.
