The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Paola, KS, is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer and blood disorders. Our compassionate team, which includes social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, and medical professionals, is focused on addressing the unique challenges faced by adolescents and young adults during their treatment journey. We recognize the importance of family involvement and actively seek feedback to enhance our services, which encompass clinical care, nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and emotional support. As patients transition to adult care at age 21, we ensure a seamless connection with experienced adult Hematology/Oncology providers, with the ultimate goal of delivering personalized and effective care throughout their journey with cancer and blood disorders.
