Patches of Light, located in Paola, KS, is dedicated to supporting families with children who are battling catastrophic health challenges and facing financial difficulties. Our program provides essential financial assistance for utilities, housing support, gas cards, and grocery cards to help ease the burdens during these trying times. We work closely with the child's medical team to ensure that assistance is delivered with care and confidentiality; therefore, applications must be submitted by hospital staff on behalf of the families, as direct contact with applicants is not permitted. Once an application is received, it typically takes 2-3 weeks for consideration, and we encourage hospital staff to confirm via email that their application has arrived successfully, ensuring a smoother process.
