Gretchen Wells

Gretchen Wells is a compassionate therapist who is deeply grateful that clients have found her. She understands that seeking help can be challenging for many reasons, and she is proud of those who take the brave step in their healing journey. Gretchen feels honored to walk alongside individuals as they navigate their path to recovery. She firmly believes in each person's capacity to grow and heal in a way that is meaningful to them. Her goal is to empower clients by strengthening their sense of power, control, and hope in their lives. With the understanding that she is not the expert on their lives, Gretchen believes that her clients inherently possess the knowledge of what is right for them; they may just need a safe space to explore those insights. As a licensed clinical social worker in both KS and MO, and a member of Postpartum Support International (PSI) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), her passion lies in providing therapy services to adolescents and adults grappling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and pregnancy/postpartum challenges. Gretchen holds a steadfast belief that her clients possess the strength to cope with their hardships. With her support, individuals can cultivate change in their lives, as sometimes it takes the belief of another for them to start believing in themselves. To Gretchen, Helix Mental Health embodies the philosophy of self-belief and resilience. She affirms that everyone is worthy of this journey toward healing.
