Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Overland Park, KS, proudly serves low-income households across the state by providing free USDA commodity foods designed to meet essential nutritional needs. With shipments delivered five to six times each year, TEFAP ensures that vital food items, including canned vegetables, fruits, juices, meats, cereals, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta, reach those who need them most. Each household can receive between four to ten different food items per shipment, making a significant difference in the lives of many families. To access this support, eligible clients are encouraged to apply through their home county, allowing us to extend our commitment to alleviating food insecurity throughout Kansas.
