Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is dedicated to providing crucial food assistance to low-income households in Osage City, KS, and throughout the state. Sponsored by the Kansas Department for Children and Families, we distribute free USDA commodity foods designed to meet the basic nutritional needs of our community. With shipments arriving five to six times a year, we ensure that families receive essential items including canned vegetables, fruits, meats, cereals, and pasta, with each household receiving a minimum of four to ten food items per delivery. To access this vital support, individuals must apply in their home county, enabling us to reach those who need it most with care and urgency.
