Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Manhattan, Kansas, is dedicated to alleviating hunger by providing free USDA commodity foods to low-income households across the state. Our program is designed to deliver essential food items five to six times a year through participating organizations, ensuring that families have access to nutritious options. Each distribution includes a selection of staples such as canned vegetables, fruits, juices, meats, cereals, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta, offering a minimum of four to a maximum of ten food items per household.
