Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Lenexa, KS, is dedicated to alleviating hunger by providing free USDA commodity foods to low-income households across Kansas. Our program ensures that nutritious food is accessible to those in need through shipments delivered five to six times a year to local partner organizations. Each distribution includes a variety of essential items such as canned vegetables, fruit, juice, meat, cereal, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta, with each household receiving between four to ten different food items. We welcome individuals and families to apply for assistance in their home county, helping them meet their basic nutritional needs with care and dignity.
