Laura VanSickle-Deavours, LCP, is a dedicated therapist with nearly three decades of experience specializing in a diverse range of age groups from preteens to elders. She passionately engages children and adolescents using tailored interventions that meet their unique needs, while also equipping and supporting parents and guardians from both a clinical and parental perspective. Laura's previous role as the director of a college counseling center allowed her to hone her skills in helping young adults build resiliency during crucial developmental stages. She is committed to meeting adult clients navigating challenges, crises, and various mental health struggles, using her expertise to support individuals, couples, and families facing a wide array of issues. With a special interest in trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, and the emotional aspects of sensory processing disorder, Laura is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and continually pursues advanced training. Working from a Christian worldview, she thoughtfully integrates spiritual perspectives with psychotherapy, ensuring that this is done only with client consent.
