Meals on Wheels of Eastern Kansas

Meals on Wheels of Eastern Kansas is dedicated to supporting seniors and homebound individuals in Lawrence, KS, and surrounding Shawnee, Jefferson, and Douglas counties. Our essential service delivers hot, nutritious meals daily, empowering our participants to maintain their independence at home while effectively managing chronic health issues and reducing hospitalizations. We believe in making food assistance accessible, offering reduced meal rates of $4.00 for those over 60 and $5.50 for individuals under 60. For seniors classified as homebound, we utilize funds from the Older Americans Act to ensure they receive their meals at no cost, only requesting a voluntary donation to help sustain our program. We are committed to ensuring that no one faces food insecurity alone and that every meal served contributes to the well-being and safety of our community's seniors.
