The Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC) in Independence, KS, is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of families by offering essential nutrition education, providing supplemental foods, and promoting breastfeeding through comprehensive support. Additionally, we connect families with vital healthcare resources to ensure they receive the care they need during these critical early years.
