Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC) in Independence, KS, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of low-income pregnant and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our program provides essential resources, including nutrition education to promote healthy food habits, supplemental foods to support dietary needs, and breastfeeding promotion and support to ensure optimal growth and development. Additionally, we connect families with vital health care resources, empowering them to thrive during critical early life stages and fostering a healthier community.
