Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Hugoton, KS US
Located in Hugoton, KS, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system by training and empowering individuals to become advocates and educators. Our program offers a comprehensive, hands-on approach to organic food system education, enabling fellows to engage in diverse agricultural practices while cultivating community connections. Throughout the six-month experiential fellowship at our farm campus, selected participants gain practical knowledge in growing and distributing varied crops, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food literacy in local schools. The fellowship is tuition-free, ensuring accessibility for passionate leaders eager to impact their communities. After completing their training, fellows enter a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to implement their skills, support farmers markets, and develop efficient distribution channels for healthy foods. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May through October, providing an enriching platform for innovators in food assistance and community engagement.
